Wow, this is an impressive list….. I’ve read the Number, and also the book on Transitions. The Number was highly entertaining, you can tell he is/was once a journalist. It just rolls off the page – I finished it in a day I think. It gets you thinking, too. I did his exercise and found out that with inflation, I’m going to need $26 million to “retire” lol.

Out of all the books you have listed here, I would have to choose Don’t Retire, REWIRE: 5 Steps to Fulfilling Work that Fuels Your Passion, Suits Your Personality, or Fills Your Pocket by Jeri Sedlar and Rick Miners, as the book I want to read next

I’ve read The Number. It is more about inspiring you than about making specific recommendations. Even so, it is worth a read.

Thanks for the list. I’m in the same boat as Working Dollar, born in Jan of ’66. I hope I can retire in 25 years!

I keep asking myself, what can I accomplish in 25 years? For the under 30 crowd, that sounds like a long time. For me, it sounds like a very short time.

Thanks for the booklist. There are several titled here that I am unfamilar with and they look like good reading. I am at the front end of Generation X since I was born in 1965 – so I have about 25 years ’til I retire and of course this topic has been at the forefront of my mind for the past couple of years.
