Don’t Forget to Vote

I know, I know. Everyone is saying this today and I hate to sound like a broken record, but it really is important you get out and vote. While it may seem like your vote for some of the lager races with national implications won’t count for much, it will. Even more important though are the issues on the ballot that can and do personally affect your life and finances.

Most of you will have issues on your ballot that have to do with issues right in your local community. Millage increases, school board issues, funding for local park systems, new facilities, and much more. These issues can directly affect things such as your property taxes, so it is important to understand what issues are on the ballot and what improvements they will have in your community as well as how much these issues will cost you.

I urge you to take a look on your state or county’s website for information on the ballot issues and head to the polls informed. Let your voice be heard.

(And just think, tomorrow we won’t have to sit through any more campaign ads!)
