The Stock Market is the Engine of America’s Prosperity

I stumbled across an interesting cartoon this morning that I found entertaining and somewhat educational. It is a cartoon from 1952 entitled What Makes Us Tick and was produced by the New York Stock Exchange. It is an overview of the American stock market and how it fuels the economy. It does a pretty good job at covering the process of how and why companies go public, money is generated and then put back to work in the economy. Clearly since this video is over 50 years old some things have changed slightly but as a whole it is still very accurate today.
The cartoon is just over 11 minutes long. Enjoy!
