My First Podcast About Buying a Home and Presented by Charles Schwab is Finally Live

Next Step

I mentioned this quite a few weeks ago, and we had hoped to get everything finalized then, but there were a few technical difficulties that delayed the launch. That’s fine, because it is better late than never.

This first podcast is just one of many in a series that is being developed by About.com and Charles Schwab. The series is titled Planning Your Next Step, which covers topics that tie in perfectly with the typical demographic of this site. It presents a lot of topics that many young adults are, or will be facing, such as: buying a home, getting married, starting a family, saving for retirement, and so on.

To listen to the podcast, which runs just over 4 minutes, simply visit the Planning Your Next Step page and click on the podcast button on the right. You may notice that the person talking is Michael. I’m fortunate enough to have someone with the tools, time, and voice to produce the podcast, while I focus on creating the content for them.

In addition to the podcast, there is a ton of great information on planning for those next steps in life. The next segment will hopefully be going up late this week or early next week that discusses family finances, with specific attention to saving for college.

Awesome podcast, made great points. I think it boils down to the market you live in, which ultimately decides whether renting makes more sense than buying. Congrats on the first podcast!

It’s a shame that site has no information whatsoever on how to subscribe to the podcast series. It’s not a podcast if you can’t subscribe to it, it’s just an audio file.

  3. Jeremy says:

I know, it is a little backwards. It is more or less a trial run to see what kind of interest it has. Hopefully if they continue to put together a series like this, it will be done in the true form of a podcast.

  4. MIke-TWA says:

That’s a nice clear and concise primer on home buying. Well done.
