A Few New Features at Generation X Finance

If you’re a regular reader, you may have already noticed, but for those who stick to reading from the RSS feed, you may not have noticed. I have updated the commenting aspect of the site to include SezWho. If you aren’t familiar with it, simply look at any post that has comments. You’ll now see an image, or gravitar next to people’s names. In addition, if you click on the “See my other comments” link, it will show you the other comments that person has left on both this site, and others that utilize SezWho.
What Do Readers Have to Do?
Nothing. This in no way impacts leaving comments on the site. You don’t need to have a SezWho account or profile if you don’t want since it can group your comments together by the email you use when leaving them. But, if you want, you’re certainly welcome to create your own SezWho profile that would then show up on a number of blogs that use the feature. In addition, if you have a Blog Catalog account, it should import the image you use on that site as your avatar automatically.
New Voting Features
One of the other great features that this allows is the ability to rate individual posts, as well as comments. In the future, I’ll be able to use this information to find the most popular posts and commenters. I plan on adding something in the sidebar that keeps track of the people here who have the highest rated comments and leave a link back to their site as a way to say thanks for leaving great comments.
Start Commenting
So, there you have it. Nothing will change, but you now have some additional information available about comments and the ability to vote. Everything is retroactive, so if you’ve been leaving comments here in the past, it should keep track of them all in your profile. Get out there and leave some comments!

I just put this on my blog too. The rating feature seems pretty lightweight. I was afraid it was going to be this huge ballast on my posts.
Anyway, we’ll see!
Yeah, I was surprised how light the whole system was. I was afraid it would really bog things down, but it loads faster than adsense most of the time.
One small glitch I’m working on is that it doesn’t work completely on some pages with a large number of comments. Once we get that figured out, it should be smooth sailing.
Thats a great feature. I only wish I had enough comments on some of our blogs to be able to fully utilise it. Keep up the good work.
Thanks. SezWho really rocks! I love it so far. It’s cool being able to see all of somebody’s comments. You kind of feel like you get to know them.
Everything should be fixed, including the errors on the posts with a lot of comments. And just to add, the folks at SezWho have awesome support! They promptly responded to any issues I had, and even personally emailed me updated code to fix the last of the problems.
So if you’re considering the plugin, I would have to highly recommend it. It is incredibly easy to install, runs fast on the site, and the people behind it are top notch.
