This was the first time that I have read something about investing in yourself from a “finance environment.” Being a cancer(esophageal)survivor, being proactive in your health is mandatory if you want to enjoy your life. No chemo,no drugs. Diet,supplements and exercise are vital to accomplish a healthy you (at least for me.)

There is something I would like to add.
4. Spend time in nature and meditate, our bodies are part of the nature, meditation makes the mind clean out all the unnecesary stuff and concentrate on the good ones.

I love this article. Just in the process of applying to grad schools to invest in myself so that I can have a better career. In going back to school, it is important to make sure that your investment will pay dividends in the end: as in no PhD in basket weaving will pay as much as a doctorate in Psychology.

Most of us tend to forget about ourselves when we are talking about assets, but in truth, without our selves, we don’t have anything at all! I love the small changes that you suggest we all make to protect our greatest assets, which underscores the idea of the power of small.
