Want to Become a Millionaire? Don’t Be Like This Guy

Do you want to become a millionaire? Stupid question, I know. Who wouldn’t want to be a millionaire? Well, I’ve shared my 5 steps on how to become a millionaire in the past, but there are a few unconventional methods as well. One of those is to win big on a game show — namely, the Who Wants to be a Millionaire show.  The clip below features a college student who would like to become a millionaire, but from the results you can see why he may want to rely on the basics such as spending less than you earn, avoiding debt and saving for retirement rather than count on his own intelligence. In fact, he might want to focus on studying a bit more while in college, getting some sleep, and not being hopped up on caffeine.

Want to become a millionaire? Step one: don’t be like this guy.

Ouch. He went through all of that only to get knocked out on the 1st question? Poor guy…I like it how the next guy up is a scientist too ;) Just pour vinegar in his cuts why don’t ya!

  2. Hi Jeremy, thnx for your post. Couple questions for you: 1) Are you a millionaire, and if so, when did you become one? 2) What is your definition of a millionaire as there are so many different definitions.

    Best,

Oh man… that sucks for him lol.

  4. Ouch Jeremy, I just watched the video (it wouldn’t load on the other computer) and yowza! Oh well. If he succeeded in getting one step further, maybe he would have just failed in the $200 question. Nothing lost! :)

  5. Hahahahaha! I know contestants always say that it seems so much easier answering the questions when viewing the program at home, but some mistakes are really inexcusable! What was going on in this boy’s head? It makes me wonder how successful he is going to be as a student. It seems like he will never be a teacher, but will remain the student.

Of course the answer was D! ;-)

  7. Oh, no! The look of sudden realization that he made a mistake is too much. :-( Hopefully he will try to get some sleep before important events.

That is definitely not how to become a millionaire! It is probably much more difficult trying to answer questions in front of all those people though.
