Great post, Jeremy, especially the part about “analyzing” overall financial needs. The beginning of a new year is an ideal time to review goals and the strategies set to meet them. Last year, millions of us hit new milestones by getting married, starting a family, buying a house or starting a new business, to name only a few. Now is a great time to consider if your goals have changed, if your needs have changed, and if your family is adequately prepared for all of life’s unexpected twists and turns. People should ask themselves the tough questions that correspond with those milestones, and if they’re not sure what questions to ask themselves, it might make sense to have a conversation with a trusted friend or a financial professional who can help navigate. Prior planning does prevent poor performance, you know that eventually you will need a new car a new house a new this a new that, so save for it while it is not an immediate need, that way you will be more prepared for the need when it does come.

I love the idea of going paperless. It is so much more convenient and it’s a great way to start going green. Instead of having to waste paper and shred my statements monthly, I can now just view everything online! It also makes my finances more accessible as well.
