This book does just that, it talks <i>with</i> you, in the form of a conversation, as opposed to many books that talk <i>at</i>, or simply say, "this is how you do it." So, it is the tone of the book that I think resonates with the generation, as it comes across as more personal, and not as some expert talking to you, just telling you what should be done. I might pick this one up just to get some writing tips. I don't quite agree with your assessment of our generation's willingness to listen to others, though.
