Buy $125 Worth of Dockers Clothing at JCPenney and Receive a Free Round Trip Flight

If you wear Dockers clothing or know someone who does you may be able to buy a few pair of pants and end up with a free round trip flight in the continental U.S. The promotion ends tomorrow so you have two days to make a qualifying Dockers purchase either at a JCPenney store or at jcp.com.

The good news is that the departure airports cover virtually every regional airport. The “bad” news is that your destination cities are a bit more limited

Destinations Include:

  • Boston
  • New York City
  • Washington D.C.
  • Miami
  • Los Angeles
  • San Francisco
  • Las Vegas
  • Chicago
  • Orlando
  • Dallas

But hey, if you buy Dockers clothing anyway and might be considering travel to one of those locations then this is a great deal. Of course you’ll want to read all the terms and conditions to make sure you know what you’re getting.

I finally got resolution with Docker's with the airline ticket promo that was a nightmare and something we will never do again. This took us almost two years and after they messed up our vacation for a whole year. We called and called. We finally got our airline tickets, but have to fly out of a town 45 miles away instead of 12...(we were lied to by the travel agency handling our airfare with Docker's, and they said there were no tickets out of Green Bay, WI, but there were many and booked us from Appleton, WI). We called and complained constantly and we recieved money for travel to Appleton and parking our car. I will review our information and see if there is another number you can contact them. I hope you get this resolved as this is one nightmare I do not to repeat.

I participated in the Docker's/Kohl's 2008 Father's Day 2-night Hotel Stay promotion. I still have not had resolution. TLC Marketing was aweful in every aspect of my interaction with them - misleading, non-responsive, not professional, and possibly fraudulent. I could only leave VM's, a # I was given connected to a fax line, etc, etc. At the beginning I was sent the same letter mentioned by others that my form was not completed properly. It was a bogus attempt to exclude me last minute from the program, but I returned it via next day air and I made the cutoff. However, I truly wonder if they ever had the intent of filling my request. I kept getting the word that they were so busy filling requests, that I was in a queue, don't call us, we'll call you, etc, etc. Today I called the Docker's Consumer Relations number of 1-800-362-5377. I'll see what comes of that. If anyone else has had success addressing this in getting what was promised, please let us know.

I am also having trouble with TLC Marketing getting a response to my request for 2 nights in a hotel and 2 dinners. I did get a message offering $100 or $125 in meal vouchers instead of the original deal. I, unfortunalely, opted for the original deal. After reading all of the other complaints I am now going to the Attorney General's office in Ohio and Ma.

I keep getting a recording weekly from Dockers stating they will be contacting me to arrange airline tickets. This has been going on for weeks. This all is from buying clothes from Dockers last Fall and still nothing. If we all file a complaint with our Consumer Board from our state we can help so this does not happen again to anyone. Please contact your State Consumer Board or your attorney general and file a claim today. Besides all of this they have messed up all my vacation this year. I think we all have learned a lot and will never do this again. I will never buy another Dockers product and will never shop at Penneys as they sponsored this mess.

Looks like I have also been ripped off. I did a promotion with TLC Marketing/Dockers and Kohls. Spend $100 on Dockers and get a free two night hotel stay and two dinners. I filled the form out in its entirety and just received a letter saying they could not complete my request do to the form not being completed. That is bogus. My girlfriend also received the same letter. There is no one at TLC to take our calls since the promotion ended 7/31. I went to Kohls today and someone there is looking into it and getting back to me. I will try calling Dockers also with the #'s above. I can't believe it and I did give my credit card info!

I am having same problem and wasted so much time and money on it. Every time I call they tell that they will mail me but so far I have not received anything in past 8 months. I have lodged my complaint with FTC and will request all of you to file your complaint with the consumer board as mentioned above by Beth so that it never happens again. Following is the website to file complaint:

https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en

You will need following information about Dockers as Beth mentioned:

I am contacting the Consumer Board and file a complaint. No matter what happens Dockers should not do this to consumers. They need us…..I hope others will follow so they can have complaints on file from all over the US.

My update is that TLC denied my claim because I didn't fill in the credit card information. I'm sorry, but my background is in the financial world and I will NEVER mail my credit card number and expiration date to a company that I've never heard of before. Are you kidding? I wrote to "please contact me" for that information and left a phone number. Little did I know that it would cost me 2 plane tickets for being a responsible consumer. They said that very few people refused to send their credit card info to them in the mail. That is scary...

On another note, I have worked in the travel business and you do NOT need a card to hold a ticket for 24 hours or need to pay the taxes in advance. They are obviously trying to get out of paying these any way that they can. TLC is the worst. Dockers is being dragged down because of them. They have succeeded in putting a sour taste in my mouth, that's for sure.

At least most of you got a voucher or the booking form. I sent in my receipt with the intial form and have received nothing in 1 year. I called 2 times every month and finally got tired dealing with TLC Marketing who have the worse customer service ever. I called to tell them that I moved and wanted my booking form to be sent to the new address and they said they would do it, BUT what they really do is just update in their "notes and comments" section but not forward the complaint to anyone. Because of this experience I don't know if you can really trust promotions that are "too good to be true".

As a JCPenney associate, I too took advantage of the free airline ticket deal, only to be put through a lot of grief, I bought the required dockers sent in the form on the same day, recieved a call stateing they recieved my forms and would be contacted in a week, so I made hotel and car reservations booked attraction tickets scheduled vacation and had everything ready, but wait noone has ever called me yet. I waited another week still nothing, then I called and was told I was not anywhere in the system and they had no record of me. I asked for a supervisor or manager and was told they were too busy to talk to me and there would be nothing they could do anyway. OK so now Im pi$$ed but wait before I could call back I recieve a call and guess what suddely Im booked to go to Las Vegas, what that was never one of my choises, I wanted to go to Orlando. Talking to them they said there was no flights available to Orlando on the dates I wanted and I could only go to Las Vegas. I then checked on line to flights to Orlando Via USAIR while still on the phone with them. I found several flights with plenty of open seating. I had to tell the travel agent what flight I wanted and how to find it. She said everything was taken care of and that I was booked. Here comes the best part, My fault I didnt check again and I went to the closest departing airport a 3 hour drive went up and checked in got my tickets made my way to the terminal and guess what I was going to Vegas!! not Orlando. Here is where I stand right now, reservations and universal studio tickets prepaid, and too late to cancel as I only had 3 days prior to arival without loseing money and no place to stay or a car to where Im going and 3 second away from going postal.I didnt even have the right clothes packed for Vegas cause of course I was planning on being at the beach not in the desert. Moral of the story, if it seems too good to be true it is, and as an assoiate of JCPenneys I tell all my customers my story when a prmotional event like this comes up. Yes I went to Vegas and immediately called the travel agent.

Just talked to Dockers- best thing is to call 800-362-5377 and they transfer you to someone who will at least talk to you. Don't waste your time calling TLC. The deal is, if you had a voucher to them before 6/30/08 they will extend the offer to be used by June 2009. The rep said that they will contact me by July 31st and seemed a lot more sincere and concerned than the TLC rep.

I didn't receive a phone call from TLC either, pretty sure they (TLC) were going to blow me off and hope I went away. Dockers is apparently doing the right thing and handling this the best that they can.

My husband and son are enjoying a trip to East Coast area because they are Adventurers. (son's a minor so my voucher wouldn't cover his trip). My daughter's booking was more problematic; clock's ticking and it's hard to have confidence that it will work out.

JC Penney's reputation takes on a bit of tarnish but unfortunately they sell clothes vs. booking flights---
TLC isn't living up to its moniker.

the July 3 phone call probably meets 'letter of the law'/fine print issues, but doesn't sit well with the customer.

the potential 'extension' of the offer...that's news to me. I think if that's the case, it would be better to have a piece of Mail or a copy-able email. Too much confusion exists here.

Penneys and Dockers have spent much money to obtain Bad Publicity here; I'm glad not to be working the phones at their end! ;-)

My family has been through the same thing. Four of us purchased the required items and submitted our vouchers in Aug. To this date was also have note received any information except a one time phone call after all our previous dates submitted passed and they requested us to submit new dates. Needless to say we are very dissatisfied and unhappy. If anyone is taking this any father please let me know. Thank you. We all are expected to live up to obligations and black and white statements we make........what makes them any different.

If you did not get an airline ticket or hear from Dockers this is the message recording I recieved on July 3, 2008. Dockers will either 1) reimburse $125.00 (so this is like getting the clothes you purchased free. 2) Dining Certificates for $150.00, not sure which restaurants. or 3) you can still get the airline tickets and must let them know.

Call 617-305-4099 and let them know what choice from the above you would like by July 31, 2008.

Hope this helps anyone who was mislead by the Docker's promotion and never received their airline tickets.

I've just called the Dockers Concierge Service at 1-866-377-4084. The recorded message says: The promotion ended on June 30th, and anyone who sent in the completed documents would be notified by July 3rd....the message did not give any further options and hangs up on you. Today is July 7th.

After reading the previous comments and the long time it took for them to respond, I feel I haven't suffered enough having only waited 5 weeks. It doesn't look too promising for any response soon.

This borders on a fraudulent offer.

I have called several times and did not receive any help. In fact, the rep was rude and really great when we are talking to someone overseas. I am now 12 days out and was told if you did not receive a call 14 days from your trip your first choice will not be made. Vacations are very difficult to plan and I am sure many can relate to this.

I think the whole thing is Dockers is freaking out with the Airline prices and are hoping they will go down....I for one will never do this again or ever buy another Dockers product.

I am contacting the Consumer Board and file a complaint. No matter what happens Dockers should not do this to consumers. They need us.....I hope others will follow so they can have complaints on file from all over the US.

Had the same problem getting flights booked.. Missed out on our yearly vacation because of it.. I was told also that they were extending the promotion.. But so far no one has called us either. Does anyone have the correct addresses and phone numbers of Pennys, Dockers, TLC marketing and the Boston BBB? Which have been the most help to you?

Meliss

I just sent in my complaint to the BBB of MA. Everyone has been saying that is the only way to get anything out of these people. My travel date passed us by at the end of May and I am just sick of dealing with it. I am going to tell them too, when they call that they need to waive the booking fees that they charge for all of the hassle. I will still pay all necessary taxes, but I heard they charge like 40 bucks just so that they can get their cut. I'll keep everyone posted on what happens.

Contact JC Penney Customer Service, Dockers and the BBB (Boston). It finally worked for us. We finally got our free flight after waiting and calling for months. It was $72 after fees.

Hi Beverly,
My Husband and I are also having trouble with getting our travel arranged with Docker, It sounds like we are in the same situation, we have also called them four times and told that the agent will call soon, what do they mean by soon ?

Beverly J. Johnson

We mailed our Vouchers in January 28, 2008 requesting travel for June 3 (first request). To date we've heard nothing from Docker's. I've contacted them several times and they just tell me a Booking Agent will be calling and they will put Highest Priority on my phone call. I've called about six times, first time April 4 and latest today (two weeks before travel time).

The letter said we would hear between 6-8 weeks after sending in our request. It's been four months. One agent said the promotion will be extended a year. When were they going to tell us this? If we don't get any information, I think we should get our money refunded and perhaps take this up with the Attorney General Fraud Division. We've followed all your Terms and Conditions. It's only fair to expect you to do the same.

This affects not only us not knowing when and if there will ever be a trip but we've asked for those dates off work and lined up baby-sitters, etc. Would someone be so kind as to give us an answer if we are going in June or not? I believe that is a reasonable request.
I'll wait by the phone (480) 839-2519 cell: 602-750-9295 or e-mail :kutznbob@msn.com. Please let us know what is going on.

When I first read this post I thought of the ploys that telemarketers were using for a while, offering 'coupon books' with the enticement of a free round trip airline ticket to select destinations even if you cancel early. Where they make their money of course, is in people who forget to cancel and get charged $100 for coupons they probably never use. The catch was that you had to stay in rather expensive hotels, their choice.

I was happy to see no such trick here. But you do need to pick 3 destinations, and you don't know which one you will get. Not bad for those who are spontaneous.

The terms looked restricting but no surprises. One thing I noticed was that it didn't include "airline failure insurance".

What the heck is airline failure insurance??
