No advice on a guest columnist, but a request. Information on how to save for college for the little ones. Retirement first, college second? Who’s likely to qualify for need-based financial aid and not (especially the nots)?

With it being college acceptance season, I’ve found that a few of my friends are being shocked by the paltry amounts of need-based aid they’re receiving. Some have been lucky to receive merit scholarships, but not all.
