Do they like to shop sales and get a good deal? Guess what? Shares are on sale! They should be buying more. You should recommend the book Simple Wealth, Inevitable Wealth by Nick Murray. The investment results you can actually control is your own behavior--including not selling low! (Duh.) These same folks chase "hot" markets and buy high, too, don't they? They'd be better off in a passbook savings account. People feel like they’ve lost money in a down market, but there isn’t a loss unless they sell and lock in that loss!
