I ran into some problems with the IRS's free tool because at the time I filed (years ago) I had been working over seas. The problem arose around the standard form 2555, which may or may not have been outdated. I ended up owing like $2000.00 USD by the online form's definition. When I took the same paperwork to H&R Block, I ended up receiving about $200 back (smile). I'm wondering if their online version is better than the IRS so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for sharing!
